July 17, 2008 - (FOX44-TV) - "Windham Sheriff Deputy Accused of Improper Relationship with Teen" - (Return to News) Windham Sheriff Deputy Accused of Improper Relationship with Teen Posted: July 17, 2008 07:08 PM EDT Updated: July 17, 2008 07:08 PM EDT Officials say Windham County's top sheriff's deputy is under suspension while the state police investigate charges she had an improper relationship with a 17-year-old Brattleboro Union High School student. Sheriff Capt. Heidi Nelson taught law enforcement classes at the high school and served as the school's resource officer. She was suspended on Friday with pay. Windham County Sheriff Keith Clark says he's doing everything he can to protect everyone involved while the case is investigated. Officials wouldn't describe the nature of the relationship Nelson is alleged to have had. |
